WAOC were quite overwhelmed by the extent of the help that came to Dave Wotton and Julia his wife when Dave collapsed and tragically died on Saturday. Dave has already been described as having all the attributes that make being in the sport a pleasure: the 30 or so runners who willingly either gave up or interrupted their runs in the inter-club competition to help and support were acting in the same tradition. We are sure that Julia would join us in thanking you all for your care and compassion.
