Nicely off-beat series about a stressed out lawyer who escapes the rat race to become JP to a small coastal town - quite a change for Sigrid Thornton now on the other side of the law! Kerry Armstrong also appears as the wife of the shifty local capitalist cum council leader. Other regulars are Bruce Alexander as the local police sergeant, Jill Forster as the local publican and Fiona Corke as Sigrid Thornton's sister. Series 2 has been made and is to be shown soon in Australia.

One of my all time favourite films this, a road movie where a young ambulance driver and an old woman he is taking home from hospital for her birthday antagonise each other but finally start to understand where the other is coming from. Tina Bursill is a nurse in hospital right at the start of the film. Bob Baines appears as Ambulance Officer Muggleston in silhouette over the end credits as he is arguing with the younger ambulance driver.
