Nina Landis

Australia, Film, 1988

A sort of sequel from Nadia Tass to the film Malcolm, but this one seems to have been made more for money than the sheer joy of the quirkiness of it all. There are still some groovy gadgets but this time they are built to be useful rather than fun. Nina Landis has one of the title roles, Bill Hunter is a cop chasing after her and her brother, and Alan Hopgood yet again does not get to utter a word but laughs instead.

Australia, Film, 1997

Another of those films that only Australia seems to be able to do - the apparent non-event spun out into a film. A car carrying four members of a bowling team crashes, although all of them appear to escape unharmed. The situation then descends into chaos when the emergency services and relatives drive about for the day just missing each other and the crash site. The film ends sadly, though, with one of the women dead and another one scared to leave the house. Three of our lady bowlers and an assortment of townspeople and relatives are ex-Prisoners.

Richard Moir

Australia, Children's TV, 1992

Two series of this were made, with very different casts. Each episode was a different story, all revolving around the Twist family who lived in a haunted lighthouse. Richard Moir was the father, and Robyn Gibbes played the schoolteacher in both series. Tommy Dysart appeared for a split second in the episode 'Copy Cat' as a bus driver, noticable only for his broad Scottish accent!
