Amanda Muggleton and Jon English, currently touring in HMS Pinafore, did a star turn together recently on Celebrity $ale of the Century. Due on stage in Sydney early that night, they made a pact to lose, so they wouldn't be held over for two more episodes taped that day. Guess who won? Short of a costume change, Jon whipped into Nine's wardrobe department and picked up a reporter's suit and Amanda just took off her coat. Guess who won again? And guess who needed more costumes? Jon borrowed another suit but Amanda, stuck, whipped off her blouse, revealing a sexy black sheer chemise. "That's right - I did the show in my underwear! Me, who's gone naked all my life, felt suddenly strange to be seen in my underwear! Well, I didn't want to go on looking like a bloody newsreader!" Nine execs are relieved there was no round four.
