Welcome to the Wentworth Library

Due to a sudden burst of enthusiasm for education from the Department, the library has become much better stocked and now has a video library as well as books. It has now become necessary to reorganise the system, so it is organised into six different sections:

The Prisoner Books - including the 8 (yep - eight, count them!) Prisoner novels, and two references.

The Prisoner Videos - although some of these have now been deleted there are links to Blackstar who may be able to find you a second-hand copy.

Other Down Under Videos - Links to Blackstar for any films and TV on these pages which are available to buy in Britain. You may be able to find copies of videos that have been deleted too.

Actors' Books - including the biographies of actors in Prisoner and of other people whose memories include familiar Prisoner faces, and fiction written by Prisoner people.

Reference and Guides - wider ranging references and encyclopaedias on Australian film and TV.

History and Sociology - much more serious books on historical and sociological aspects of Oz TV and film.

If you're looking for books, the best places to look are Amazon, Amazon.co.uk, the Internet Bookshop, Gleebooks in Australia. Many of the Prisoner books are now out of print and can only be found at secondhand bookshops. Try Bibliofind and ABE Books for good searchable second-hand book databases.
